Cone Beam CT Scan

Our office is equipped with a state of the art, three dimensional cone beam C.T. scan (computerized tomography). This devise allows us to take detailed, three dimensional imaging of your jaws, teeth, and sinus cavity. The images are extremely useful in identifying and diagnosing pathological conditions of the jaws.

Cone Beam 3-D imaging is also useful for determining if you have enough bone for dental implants. Advanced computer software also allows us to perform “virtual implant surgery” to determine if you are a good candidate for implant placement.

Scans are commonly used to locate and surgically plan exposure and/or removal of impacted teeth. For your safety, all Cone Beam images taken in our office are reviewed by an Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist (Dr. Grace Petrikowski).
